Success one doesn’t count in numbers but in quality and that is how Costume Colloquium II: Dress for Dance will be remembered.
During the four days of stimulating and exciting presentations, discussions, visits and events, a true colloquium was achieved.
Participants were from 22 countries spanning the world and their interest ranged from costume and dance history, costume design, costume creation, museum studies, archival research, textile and costume conservation, dance and dance re-enactment, as well as teachers and students of the fields examined.
As was for the first edition of Costume Colloquium dedicated to Janet Arnold, this second edition dedicated to Dress of Dance lived up to the high expectations of all who participated.
The success of Dress for Dance is the result of a synergic cooperation between promoters, institutions, museums, scientific committee and each participant and speaker during the last two years.
